Details

All sessions require a $50 retainer fee (which is applied towards the cost of the session) as well as a signed contract to hold the date.

Whether you’re opting for a small session in studio, or a larger session in your own home my baby outfits, wraps, headbands and a tiny hats are free to use. We’ll chat before hand about the colours and style you like most and I’ll pull from my collection of baby goodies to design a session that reflects your wishes.

Each package comes with a select number of complementary digital images. Clients will receive access to an edited proofing gallery of 30 - 80 images from which they can select and download their favourites! Additional image downloads from the proofing gallery are $16 each or less if purchased in packages of 6 or more.

No pose can be guaranteed, especially nude poses on the posing table. Every baby has their own needs and preferences and your baby’s comfort and safety is my first priority. If baby is distressed or unsettled we will simply move on from that pose into something equally sweet that your baby finds comfortable. A baby led session allows your little one to stay comfortable and content throughout their session, leading to more sweet pictures and poses overall.

When Should I Book My Session?

It is important to book your newborn a soon as possible. I can only accommodate a select number of newborns in a week and those session times can fill very quickly given the unpredictable nature of “due dates”. We will tentatively book your baby’s session for one week after your due date, on a weekday morning. We almost never keep the date, babies have their own agenda after all. If your little one arrives late we’ll move the session date forward and if they arrive early we will bring it back.

It is best to shoot during the first 10 or 12 days of life, while I can shoot with older babies, the session becomes much more challenging and some poses are not possible because your baby’s cartilage is hardening and he/she is growing strong bones and muscles. The fresher they are, the more successful the shoot.

How Can I Prepare for my Newborn’s Session?

When you book a session I’ll send you a guide and questionnaire so that you and baby can feel completely prepared.

What’s the difference between props and table top posing?

Prop Posing
These sets can be simple or very elaborate.

All wrapped, fully fed, with white noise filling the room, there is almost nowhere your baby won’t sleep.
If you love tiny doll beds, sap pails, tins, crates, baskets or even grandpa’s old car tire these portraits will melt you!

Tabletop Posing
This set is pure baby.

Baby’s first few weeks are a special time when they sleep deeply and can curl into the tiniest little balls.
Your little one will be helped into the sweetest poses while they sleep on a comfy mattress of fluff and pillows spread across my working table.

Baby is secured in place with posing beans, nearby hands and a close eye. I love a baby in a bucket but there is no substitute for portraits of belly rolls and curly lips and smooshy cheeks.

I’d Like to Book a Session!
